1. Who are you? At CBDathletics, we’re athletes just like you, driven by a passion for making every rep, every lift, every WOD count. But, let’s be real - sore muscles, achy joints and pain get in the way of PRs and bringing our A game. So, that sent us searching for pain relief and better recovery. 
In our search for solutions, we discovered the real benefits of CBD for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. But with so many CBD products out there, navigating the options was overwhelming and confusing. So, we decided to create our own!
Our mission is to break the stigma and elevate the use of CBD in the athletic community. We believe CBD can be a game-changer, enhancing daily recovery and overall well-being for athletes everywhere.

2. Where are your products grown/made? CBDathletics is proudly Michigan-made! Our CBD is sourced from hemp grown primarily in Michigan as well as the surrounding great lakes states.

FAQ's ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

1. What’s in your products? 100% CBD isolate only or bust! CBDathletics products are all third-party, independently tested to ensure this. Please refer to the testing results on the respective product description pages. 

2. Why only CBD isolate instead of full spectrum? Our products are designed to be World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) compliant and only contain CBD isolate, so that athletes can have peace of mind knowing they are taking an effective and clean product. Full spectrum will often have trace elements of THC (less than .3%), which can legally be called “THC free.” However, that’s a gray area and still under debate as to whether or not that will affect a drug test for WADA. Also, other cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, CBDa, ect, can be found in full spectrum products but are banned during competition season by WADA. 

3. So….does CBDathletics product work then? Absolutely. You’ll see our products have more CBD isolate compared to many others, so that’s how we still pack a punch without the other extra ingredients.

4. Will taking your product make me high? No, CBDathletics products are 100% THC-Free and therefore do not have any psychoactive effects (feeling high, etc.). We don’t even have trace elements like other brands often do. 

5. How Much CBD Should I Take? 
The recommended dose of CBD can vary based on the individual, the condition being treated, and the form of CBD being used. As a general guideline, it's best to start with a low dose, such as 10-25 mg, and gradually increase as needed. Our product serving sizes are 25mg and are usually a good place to start for most people.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown based on specific needs:
  • Pain: 40-600 mg per day
  • Sleep: 15-75 mg per day
  • Anxiety: 300-600 mg per day
These ranges are broad because pain levels can vary significantly. Individuals with severe neuropathic pain may require higher doses, while regular athletes and fitness enthusiasts might start on the lower end. For muscle and joint soreness, a dose of at least 40 mg might be necessary to notice a significant change. However, you can always begin with a smaller dose of 10-20 mg and adjust based on how you feel. Our product serving sizes start at 25mg per serving.

It's important to note that while taking too much CBD won't typically have severe negative effects (as long as you stay below the high end of around 600 mg), you may feel overly relaxed at higher doses. If that happens, you can simply reduce the dosage to find what works best for you.

6. What should I use for what? Our daily “CBD stack” looks a bit like this: 
  • Muscle Melt - 3x - 
    • Before workout - incorporate it as part of your foam rolling routine to help with any soreness
    • During workout - target any crunchy muscles or painful areas 
    • After workout - during stretching & cool down 
  • Gummies - 1x - post-workout 
  • Tincture - 1x - Before bed
